Training Leaders in Community Organizing

BRIDGE Maryland provides training for members of faith-based organizations, on the principle that the people experiencing injustice, given the right tools, are most effective in challenging it.  Training includes identifying self-interest, relationship building, cutting an issue, power analysis and strategic planning.
Several Congregations have just completed Sacred Conversation/Listening Campaigns. 

The issues that surface from these campaigns will be discussed and voted upon at an Issues Convention in early June.  All BRIDGE Maryland member congregations can participate.

Additional training is offered at every meeting of the General Assembly, the Religious Leaders' Caucus and the Ntosake Women's Pride.  More intensive and extensive training is offered through local 1-2 day trainings, held at least twice a year.

All organizational and individual members are eligible and partially subsidized for the longer trainings offered by our national organizing, Gamaliel Network.
